Here are some fabulous presenter showreels found by a comedy hero of mine, Robert Popper. They are fabulous because they are terrible. Exhibit 1 features the most boring interview ever conducted by a human being. This aspiring young interviewer has been lucky enough to find a lady who works at Safeway, reducing the price of distressed items.

Highlight: “How do you know they are regulars? I suppose they come in a lot?”

Also, his voice sounds as though he has swallowed a kazoo.

Exhibit 2 is of a young Alan Partridge, the presenter of the ‘Wacky 12 till 2’ slot on some godforsaken radio station. His version of to-camera gravitas makes him look as though he’s recently had his neck greased, and the vhs-vhs editing is a wonder to behold.

Christ.

Thank you Mr Popper, you have made my day with these (There’s a TV series here somewhere, I’d say)

In case you didn’t know, NSFW means not safe for work. In other words, don’t watch or listen to this at your work computer because it might cause you to get into trouble. Perhaps it contains swearing (like this clip), or maybe it features nudity.

The clip featured here, of legendary Dr Who and voice-over supremo Tom Baker, is NSFW because it contains him swearing and generally taking the piss out of the company he’s recording a voice-over for. Its very funny, and its also not suitable for kids.

I saw it over on the links board at B3TA, which I would wholeheartedly recommend you visit if you have a sense of humour and are not easily offended.

Incidentally, I found a great sick joke about cancer on the internet - I’ve been telling it to all my friends and getting loads of hits.

This is a funny video clip of Robert Popper phoning into the God Channel, in his Robin character, during a discussion about evolution.

Robin proposes the theory that evolution is rubbish because humans look nothing like monkeys or apes, but perhaps humans came from bears?

I could watch stuff like this all day, its classic wind up material. Hope you enjoy it!

This is how road signs get made in Swansea: They email the English version to an interpreter, who emails back the translation which then gets printed onto the lovely shiny new sign. Simple yes?

Nope. The welsh part of the sign above reads: “I am not in the office at the moment. Send any work to be translated”
